Rose M. Cabbagestalk is the founder of Rose’s Studio Scholarship Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization formed in 1996 for the purpose of awarding eligible high school seniors scholarships to assist them in moving on to their collegiate aspirations, as well as sponsoring community enrichment programs.
She is married to her best friend Robert Cabbagestalk and they reside in Plainfield. They attend Ruth Fellowship Ministries, where Tracey L. Brown is the pastor. Rose holds a Bachelors Degree in music as a voice major from Jersey City State College and a Masters of Arts degree in Music Education from New Jersey City University. She holds New Jersey K-12 certification for vocal and instrumental music. Rose has been involved in education and music ministry for over 40 years. During this time she served as Minister of Music for Mt Teman AME Church in Elizabeth, NJ and Ruth Fellowship Ministries in Plainfield, NJ. She also worked as a music teacher for both The Plainfield Board of Education and UCTEAMS Charter School. She is the co-owner of Rose’s Music Studio (along with her husband Robert) located in Plainfield, NJ where she currently teaches voice, piano and organ. Rose, who is endowed with an extensive vocal range, is a classically trained soprano with a solid gospel foundation supported by her spiritual, blues and jazz roots. She has performed and traveled extensively as a recording artist, and received recognition in Billboard magazine. She loves sharing her gift and thanks God for allowing her to continue doing so. Rose is strengthened by Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths”. |
